2008 November > Doors Open at St. George's

The Annual Doors Open event took place on October 18th and 19th and hosted a variety of historical locations in the Niagara region, including St. George's Anglican Church. Visitors took tours of the inside of the lovely parish to learn about the past and the present. The church, being one of the oldest in Canada, was established in 1792, and served as a garrison during the War of 1812. Today, the church is very proud of its heritage, and especially of the "Forgotten Cemetery", tucked away in behind the chapel. It was a pleasantly informative tour through St. George's!
