2008 November > Pumpkinville 2008 The St. Catharines Recreation and Community Services Department held its 20th Annual Pumpkinville 2008 at Happy Rolph's on Saturday, October 18th. The grounds were full of excitement as children and their families carved pumpkins to enter into a contest. Pumpkins were entered into five categories including Fruits & Veggies, Nature, Most Original, Best Costume and Adult Carving. Many children had a great time with the bouncers, face painting and riding on the Stuffy Bear Express Trackless Train. “Dan the Music Man” was the feature entertainer along with a Halloween show, workshops by Mad Science and skills testing at the Home Depot Workshop. Another unique activity this year was the scarecrow building contest. All in all, a beautiful day and lots of fun for the whole family!
