The BBBS gang had lots of fun!

Bowl for Kids Sake

The 18th Annual Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake was held at Parkway Lanes Sports and Entertainment Centre on February 20th. This is the largest fundraising campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) and this year about 21 teams participated with a goal of $135,000. Family, friends, co-workers, local businesses, politicians and the media put teams together and recruited donors to support their teams. The theme this year was the Olympics and many came dressed to impress. Laurie Kirk and Colleen Walker, St. Catharines 2010 Olympic torchbearers, were dressed in their torchbearer uniforms and were on hand to pose for pictures to kick off this year's annual campaign. The success of last year’s campaign helped the agency serve a record number of 640 children through six mentoring programs. There are five agencies serving 1,800 children as another 500 children eagerly wait to be matched.
