Cones For Kids

Ray and Debbie Sheehan, the owners of Avondale Dairy Bar, have been great supporters of the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation (SCGHF) over the years. From August 12 to the 14 they hosted the 3rd Annual “Cones for Kids” weekend. The event at the Dairy Bar featured a special ice cream flavour; waffle cones and peach sundaes with a portion of sales being donated to the Pediatric Department of the SCGH site. Fun filled family activities took place throughout the weekend. Over its 2 year history, “Cones for Kids” has raised an incredible $6,000 which was used to purchase an urgently needed Crib Stretcher for the Pediatric Department at the SCGH and replacing an outdated unit over 25 years old. All proceeds donated from the 3rd Annual “Cones for Kids” event will be used to purchase equipment for the hospital’s youngest patients.
