Pigroast in Thorold South
The 5th annual Thorold South Volunteer Firefighters pigroast was held on August 13 at the fire hall on Allanburg Road. About 250 people paid the $5 admission fee that included pork, beef on a bun, corn on the cob, salads and the terrific music of Stonewall who played 80’s and up music. The pig was provided by Firehouse Grill, beef on a bun by Big Reds, corn on the cob by Hollow Maple Farms and the wives of the many of the firefighters made up some delicious salads. Fastek provided the tent. Tickets were sold for food, drinks, raffles and a chance to win $1,000. All proceeds from the event with help local charities in the community.
