32nd Annual Rio Lane Festival of Lights
December 3 was the official lighting of the lights at the 32nd Annual Rio Lane Festival of Lights. The current residents are keeping with the tradition that started 32 years ago by Mr. Campbell and Mr. Don Laws. Visitors of all ages enjoyed the festivities which included live music, (free) hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and candy canes (given out by Santa Claus). The whole event was free thanks to donations from local businesses. There was a raffle for donated gifts and a collection of canned goods. All proceeds from the event went to Community Care. The beautiful display of lights on Rio Lane may be enjoyed from December 3 to January 6.
