Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs
An Easter egg hunt for families and their dogs took place on April 6 at Burgoyne Woods. The event is held every Good Friday in eight cities across Ontario and Calgary, Alberta was the first out of province to participate. A number of vendors were set up for the occasion including Pooper Scoopers Niagara, Niagara Dog Training, Charlee’s-The Dog Treatery and more. Eggs contained a coloured sticker that represented a chance to win some great prizes. All enjoyed this great family event and helping children with autism was a great incentive. Thanks to the many sponsors and donors for their support. Proceeds went to the “National Service Dogs” who help enrich children and individuals living with autism and/or special needs. The organization matches those in need with a specially trained Labrador and Golden Retrievers.
