Real Canadian Superstore promotes Healthy Living
On Saturday March 3, Chiara DiAngelo, Registered Dietician with the Dieticians of Ontario strolled through Real Canadian Superstore on Louth St. in St. Catharines with her basket of goodies promoting heathy living. Learning to eat better by making healthier choices begins with small changes in your shopping, says Chiara. Fruits and vegetables are good for sodium-restricted diets. Breads made with rice flour, buckwheat or Quinoa flour are the best. Chiara’s suggestions for a healthy start is to reduce your portions, follow Canada’s Food Guide, cook for yourself and daily physical activity. Learn to read labels and plan your meals ahead of time. “Start small and build on it," she advises.
