Scrabble For Literacy

It was a near sell-out April 27 for the 7th Annual Scrabble Fund Raising Tournament held by the Niagara Regional Literacy Council (NRLC). The event was held at the Holiday Inn Parkway Convention Centre and featured a hot/cold buffet, penny table, silent auction, cash bar and lots of door prizes. Proceeds from the event support the ongoing programs of the NRLC. Founded in 1978, the NRLC is a community based, not-for-profit, organization dedicated to literacy. Trained volunteer tutors assist adults with reading, writing, numeracy, workplace, computer and life skills. For more information visit www.literacyniagara.org
