Garden City Optimist Youth Appreciation

Since 1954, the Optimist Clubs across North America have recognized the accomplishments of youth in the home, school, church and community. On March 19, the Garden City Optimist Club hosted their annual Youth Appreciation Awards night that honored six young ladies for their volunteering and community involvement through the various club’s programs. Held at the First Grantham United Church on Linwell Road, St. Catharines the girls received recognition for donating their hair for Wigs for Children who are receiving treatment for cancer. Unable to attend to receive their awards were Natalie Wolski and sisters Lauren and Claire Carfagnini. Congratulations to all the award recipients.
