A Taste of Italy at Club Roma Open House
The Niagara Folk Arts Festival was spiced up with the taste of Italian foods, music and dance at Club Roma on May 21. The Club Roma Choir performed classic songs of Italy. On the dance floor, folk dancers in costumes dazzled the audience with an Italian tarantella. The main attraction for the gathering of more than 300 guests was the food. The dinner menu offered penne pasta in tomato sauce, meatballs, grilled sausage with fried peppers and onions, pizza, lasagna, and other Club Roma specialties. The Crostoli pastry (Italian fried dough sprinkled with sugar) was a sweet success at the bake sale. Everything was delizioso!
