St George & St Mercurius 5th Annual Soccer Tournament

The 5th annual soccer tournament hosted by St. George & St. Mercurius Coptic Orthodox Church on July 21 scored a success. Groups traveled from Windsor, Mississauga and Buffalo to attend the event in St. Catharines at the Ridley College sports field. A registration fee of $150 per team supported the tournament. Drinks and foods, including Egyptian sweets, were sold to more than 100 people in attendance. Mayor Brian McMullan kicked off the annual event and congratulated the group. The organizers reached out to the general community and welcomed everyone to enjoy the family fun said event spokesperson Dr. Rafik. The Church is located at 118 Glenridge Avenue.
